DIANN E. Q. MATTHEWS
Diann E. Q. Matthews nee Pole born to George Alfred Pole and Viola Constance Hayward attended Woodlands Primary School, Northlands Primary, the Berkeley Institute, Strayer Business College, Baltimore, Maryland, and through the years she has completed various courses at the Bermuda College and attained other certifications. In 2016 she received her Certified Evangelist Certificate from the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Bermuda Conference, First District. Previously she received her Evangelist certification from the Connectional A.M.E. Church through the Church Growth certification program.
She is the mother of two, a daughter Denise, and a son Jamal. The Mother-in-law of Ronelle, and the grandmother of Madison, Sage, Micah, Nylah and Koen.
Diann has four sisters Blondell (Sharon), Ianthia, Roberta and Vaughan and one deceased brother Eldon. She is an aunt and a great aunt.
Diann is a member of The African Methodist Episcopal Church where she is very active both in her local church St. Philip, and on the Conference/District level.
Above all, she is a child of God who believes in “Putting God First”.
Her favorite songs to date are “Order My Steps” and “Intentional”, and her favorite Scripture is Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
And Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of those who love God who are called according to His purpose.”
She is a lover of dance, and of singing, music in general to the extent that she is an On Air D.J. on one of the local radio stations. She loves words and she feels that God’s gift to here is the ability to put those words in such a form to be ministry, that someone will be encouraged by what she says, and what she writes under the lead of the Holy Spirit.
There have been seasons in her life that have all led to this point, but it does not year appear what she will become, for He who has begun a good work in her will continue it to the end.
